Software Engineer

A high quality video processing engineering company based in West Yorkshire are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to come and join their expanding R+D team. You will be working closely with a highly skilled team and will be working on researching, designing and manufacture high end Pro-AV products. Your role will include maintaining control over both hardware and software, from the low level DSP algorithms through to the User Interface and control systems.

This is an exciting time for both you and the company as they have big growth plans and are expanding their teams due to success of new and existing projects. To apply for this role you must have at least 3 or more years' experience as a Software engineer, see key skills needed for the role below.

Skills needed:

* Strong Scripting skills, ideally using Python but other languages are accepted.

* Proficient at writing software using C/C++ ideally, in an embedded system.

* Ability to read schematics and debug new PCB designs through writing test software.

* A solid understanding of Embedded Systems.

* A strong desire to improve Quality through the application of test and verification techniques.

* Experience using Linux and Microsoft OS and dev environments.

* Experience in implementing automated test systems or at least a desire to do this.

* Knowledge of FPGA and HDL a real bonus.
