Data Scientist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Data Scientist to join SThree's new offices in Glasgow. This Data Scientist will be responsible for making use of data to improve the exploitation of information.

SThree are currently embarking on an exciting venture to set up a new Shared Services Centre of Excellence in Glasgow City Centre. As a result, we have a high volume of new vacancies across our Finance, IT, Legal, and HR teams, providing a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved in something new at a fun, rewarding company.

What will you be doing?

As a Data Scientist, you'll work with stakeholders across the business on a variety of R&D projects, using statistics, data mining, and business understanding to make pragmatic recommendations. You'll participate in the development of the vision for data / analytics architecture and workflow across the company, and you'll work in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, sales and operations as an advisor of data that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness. Our technology stack includes: Salesforce.com, Amazon Web Services, and Business Objects.

What skills/experience should you have?

* Experience working in a Data focused role (e.g. Data Scientist, BI Analyst, MI Analyst, Data Analyst, etc.)

* Excellent stakeholder management skills / the ability to confidently present to senior management

* The ability to query a database using SQL

* Any experience with Business Objects, Salesforce, or AWS would be a bonus
