Job Title: Business Intelligence Systems Developer

Location: Northwich, Cheshire

Salary:£23,170 - £24,651 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent - 37 hours per week

The Role:

The college has a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled information professional to join their team at one of the country's top ranked Sixth Form Colleges. We are seeking a committed individual to maintain and further develop their robust management information systems and applications.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT and technical skills, including knowledge of databases, programming, report writing and web based languages. Relevant experience could potentially include T-SQL, SSRS, BI Intelligence Tools, SharePoint, HTML 5, Javascript and PHP.

The College are looking for a person of good character who has strong technical skills, a creative eye and commitment to innovation. You will join an established multi-disciplinary team and will demonstrate a desire to find solutions that will transform data into knowledge and provide insights to support the work of an outstanding institution.

Qualifications

* Educated to degree level or equivalent in computing related area

* Excellent standard of IT skills with recognised programming qualification/skills

Experience

* A good understanding of the principles of databases, programming processes and report writing

* Good working knowledge of T-SQL and SSRS

* Working knowledge of web based programming languages

* Working knowledge of HTML/Javascript - (Desirable)

* Working knowledge of PHP scripting - (Desirable)

Skills

* Ability to analyse technical software issues, communicating them effectively & providing solutions to end users

* Working knowledge of VLE systems (currently Moodle) - (Desirable)

* Working knowledge of administering and supporting student tracking systems (currently ProMonitor) - (Desirable)

* Working knowledge of the student record systems and processes (currently CIVICA REMS)

* Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software
