My client are seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant for an immediate project at their new offices in Stoke. They have a huge estate, roughly 600VM's but not actively using them all - inheriting extra costs whilst they are consolidating some internal environments.

The Role:

They have a cloud based application service and everything is based on Azure. Looking to actively optimise their Azure Cloud environment, a lot of software needs optimizing and improving from a financial stand point. You will be working closely with the internal team to collaborate and advise on industry best practices to complete the following:

* Timeslicing

* Optimizing software stack

* Containers / Increasing efficiency of Vm's etc

* Cost modelling

* Analysis + technical hands on work

* Clear handover and documentation

Technical Skills:

* Microsoft Azure

* Knowledge of other cloud providers such as AWS (and the costs involved to migrate if needed)

* Heavy Microsoft / Windows server environment

* Full stack Infrastructure - hands on engineering background

* Be able to come and understand their architecture and suggest improvements

* Familiar with full SDLC

* Knowledge of Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
