A new opportunity for a Build and Release Manager has arisen with a global, reputable company who are leaders in their specialist field. Based in Potters Bar, Herts, the Build and Release Manager role is in line with a large 3 year IT transformation programme that the company are currently embarking on, and will involve management of the Development and Testing Team throughout the build, test and deployment of IT systems and applications throughout this period of exciting change.

The company are also transitioning from Waterfall to Agile, therefore we are seeking a Build and Release Manager with experience of managing multiple teams, including Developers and Testers, with a solid background within Agile Methodologies / Transformation. Alongside strong management skills, the Build and Release Manager will also have the ability to mentor, recruit and improve the performance of the team.

The Build and Release Manager will also be responsible for the quality, improvement and standards of the System Development process, from build to test to deployment, with the ability to establish and maintain methods and procedures. As an experienced individual you will have the ability to continuously adapt and improve methods throughout the transformation.

Key skills and experience needed for the Build and Release Manager:

* Track record of managing multiple Software Development Teams - Developers and Testers (varied technologies and languages).

* Strong experience within Agile Transformation and Projects (Agile, Prince2, Waterfall)

* Strong managerial / mentoring skills with the ability to up-skill and improve existing teams

* Experience within System Development and Release / Deployment (Building, Testing, Release) across the full SDLC

* Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with an existing team

* Strong track of improving the System / Software Development process

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience) + car allowance, bonus and benefits
