Role: Big Data Consultant

Location: London OR Manchester

Rate: £500-£600

Length: 6-month contract

Start: Immediate

My client, an IT consultancy are currently working on a large scale Big Data project for a High street Bank. The project is reaching a pivotal part of its development and so we are currently looking to bring on a Technical Big Data Consultant to come in and hit the ground running. The ideal candidate would be developing and implementing a Data strategy to roll out with a team both internally and externally - therefore strong communications would be critical.

The ideal candidate would have:

* 3+ years of experience with deep understanding in data architecture and processing concepts, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), Data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Spark, Storm), noSQL, and business analytics

* Understanding of big data use-cases and Hadoop-based design patterns Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trends

* Fully competent using RHEL (V6 or VL)

* Must be fully experienced in Hadoop components

* HDP certified

Must have certifications and accreditation's preferably one or more of below or comparable:

* HDP, Hadoop, HDFS, RHEL, HBase, Hive, Storm, Kafka, Kafka MirrorMaker, Ranger, Flume, Zookeeper, Oozie, Knox, Spark, YARN, Ambari, Kerberos/SSL/ Active Directory

Desired certifications and accreditation's preferably one or more of below or comparable:

* SOLR

* Cassandra

* Slider
