My client based in Sunbury requires a Global Reporting Analyst
Role Synopsis
HR MI & Analytics is generating a huge amount of enthusiasm and focus in the corporate environment. The emphasis of the role will be on managing MI and Analytics delivery with key business stakeholders to embed fact based decision making and drive business focused insight. The role would work with multiple information sets across all stages of the employee lifecycle including Talent, Learning, Resourcing and Engagement amongst others. The role will be responsible for reviewing business problems and delivering insight to drive performance.
The GPD Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the solution and design of analytics, Group & Segment reports using our toolset, ensuring that they are delivered to specified requirements and standards, and within agreed timescales.
Global People Data operates within HR and has become a highly visible system in BP, having undergone an eight year journey towards becoming the single source of HR data . GPD consolidates headcount data from 70+ country based source systems worldwide on a monthly basis, as well as holding datasets in areas such as Talent, Learning, Resourcing and Reward.
Job Responsibilities
To be accountable for business driven analytics and MI outputs (Visualisations, and presentations) to the HR community ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction using a mix of reporting tools.
To support the monthly MI cycle, assisting running executive packs providing commentary and insight.
To support the ongoing development and execution of reporting standards within the GPD reporting team, e.g. report development processes, reporting catalogue, metric definitions, training materials, etc., and to work within these standards to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of outputs
To work with colleagues and third parties, onshore and offshore, in the development and maintenance of reporting outputs to support sustainable, scalable and maintainable reporting delivery
To build, maintain and operate within robust processes to ensure the safe and compliant storage and distribution of data
Essential Qualifications and Criteria
Previous experience as business facing reporting analyst gained in a global organisation
Ability to draw out insights to provide key messages to stakeholders
Good relationship management skills and experience of working with stakeholders at the senior management level
Good listening, communication and influencing skills
Rigorous attention to detail
Proven experience of visualisation and reporting tools e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau.
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and show the level motivation required to work proactively
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
Good working knowledge of MS PowerPoint
Desirable Qualifications and Criteria
Awareness of issues arising from data compliance and privacy requirements
Proven experience in reporting on, or administering, HR data
Working with Business Information Systems containing HR information would be an advantage, but not essential
Data management using SQL or equivalent
Oil/Gas/Energy sector experience would be beneficial
