They are seeking dynamic and ambitious R&D Tax Technical (Software) Consultant from software, computing, engineering or technology background with effective communicative skills particularly in relation to technical writing.

The key aspect of this role will be the ability to assimilate and translate complex ideas into non-technical concepts and communicate these to a broad client base.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced engineers, scientists and consultants working on high end innovative development.

This role is a client facing role where the consultant will be working with clients from a wide range of industrial sectors, reviewing their technology and software developmental activities.

You will be actively involved in working with internal and external teams to provide technical input and communicating complex technical and legislative concepts to a wide variety of audience in a non-technical way.

As Technical Consultant, you will preferably have:

A recognised Software or Computer Sciences university degree

Experience in software development and programming

Experience in preparing successful R&D tax relief claims

High reliability and excellent attention to details is crucial

Proven experience of managing several projects simultaneously and managing clients' expectations with a track record of meeting deadlines

Excellent communication (both spoken and written) and people skills with the ability to analyse complex legislative concepts and communicating these to a wide variety of audience in a non-technical way

Willingness to travel within the UK - to clients' premises for meetings and on-site meetings and as needed.

Main Responsibilities will include:

- Project Lead/Manage the entire client delivery process from initial research through to finalisation

- Ensuring R&D claims meet the requirements of relevant tax legislation and guidelines

- Meetings/discussions with clients to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures

- Work with costing/financial team to perform technical assessments and develop technical narratives

- Preparation of R&D claim technical deliveries and liaison with both internal and external tax teams to ensure the information correctly reflect the outcome of technical assessments
