My client, a leading high-tech engineering organisation currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Planning / PMO specialist to join as they continue to grow. Following significant investment in Project Management tools such as Primavera, they are looking for someone to manage the project management toolset across a user base of circa 800-1000 at any one time.

The Role

The role will include direct support to the project management, project control and technical teams on the full suite of tools utilised throughout the project lifecycle providing key technical, supportive and administrative interaction - interfacing and working with our French and Italian team members.

* This role requires an enthusiastic individual who is keen to progress their career within a PMO environment.

* Responsible for managing the project management toolset to the business, the core of this tools-set is the Primavera planning system of which is allocated to over 1000 people in the UK

* The role involves working across all directorates in all nations; France, Italy and Germany, therefore experience of working in a large / international business is essential.

On a broader remit, this is an opportunity to bring new ideas and demonstrate your interpretation of project management and control.

Responsibilities:

* Ensuring that consistency and rigour is maintained with respect to operation (including interoperability) and upgrades of the tools and they are applied in a timely and consistent manner.

* Support and Maintain Primavera P6

* Support and Maintain SAP Project System

* Support and Maintain ARM Risk Management

* Support and Maintain Resourcing Tools

* Support other business performance tools including the Earned Value Management System

* The role would suit a candidate with credible experience in Primavera or similar Enterprise Project Management tools.

* You will have experience maintaining/delivering IT based Project Systems in a large / international business.

* This role requires a results-focused and enthusiastic individual who is keen to progress their career within a PMO environment.

* You will be confident in your approach, an excellent communicator - one who uses analytical thinking in articulating logical arguments and isn't afraid to ask questions or challenge the status quo.

Due to the nature of the work my client conducts, candidates must hold or be able to achieve UK SC level Security Clearance or higher.
