I am currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable end user in Stuttgart area of Germany, for the position of System Analyst/Developer, focused on the JD Edwards software tool.

Tasks

Technical Responsibility for applications / systems which are assigned:

AS400- / JDE-Security:

* Create / maintain User-Request (followed by the Audit-Rules, Approval / Traceability)

Refreshments for Test-Systems:

* BUSAK0 (EMEA) / BUSAK1 (APAC)

Development-Standards:

* Using Developing-Tools (Develop-System, Test-System, Live-System) when applicable

General:

* Implement, maintain, develop and monitor assigned systems and keep up to date (Releases, Versions...) as forced by the vendor

* Implement, maintain, develop and monitor assigned applications and tools and keep up to date (Releases, Versions...) as forced by the vendor

* Support Business and Business-Analysts to analyse requests and issues and prepare proposals.

* Develop approved solutions

* Develop enhancements for additional request or to cover issues

* Make functional and technical test on his own

* Support Business-Analysts by enhanced tests and work closed together to achieve the final result

* Consider and fulfil security- / audit-requirements and create, maintain and document the necessary traceability

* Create and maintain necessary technical documentation

* Take responsibility for assigned areas, tasks

* Take care of timelines

* Keep manager up to date about task progress to avoid delay or inform in advance to steer necessary activities

* I5-Tasks:

- Monitoring of daily / periodic tasks (Week, Month …)

- Operating / System-Monitoring (GSMText)

- Monitoring of Backup-Activities

- Support Restore- / Recovery-Activities as requested

- Support Security Concept - Cross-Site-Mirror …)

- Support i5-Release-Update

- Maintain periodic Runtime (Maintain / Enhance Sleeper-Functions)

- Monitoring of operations / communication between systems (eg PrintBos, KNix-Interface, SER-Archiving); develop enhancements to avoid downtime or secure the process when needed

- Installation and maintenance of devices (eg Printer, Client-Access-Setup)

Requirements

* High level of intellect educated to degree level during business practice

* Developer-Skill (RPG, Control-Language, Query, SQL, Java ...)

* In depth knowledge of (ERP, Tools) systems (preferably TSS deployed packages)

* g. JDEdwards World

* g. Output-Management-System (EZPrint, PrintBos)

* any other applications / systems in the TSS-Landscape

* I5-Experience (Europe / APAC):

* Multitasking to drive several tasks / projects in parallel

* Self organized

* A good understanding of business concepts and practices; keeps up-to-date with IT-Trends and Developments

* Demonstrates concern for the successful achievement of results; works persistently with drive and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives

* Practical "hands on" approach with ability to attend to the detail

* Presents oneself clearly and articulately when preparing solutions for the clients

* Good networking skills

* Confident, persuasive, influential, and tenacious to achieve the results
