2nd / 3rd Line Support / INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST - HOLMES CHAPEL

Salary: competitive + full benefits package (25 days AL, private medical and dental cover, contributory pension, etc.)

2nd / 3rd Line Support Specialist / INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST is responsible for providing 2/3rd line support for all site servers and network infrastructure ensuring the high availability of the systems and to support the business in achieving business goals. Ensure global and local IT standards are implemented, and contribute to Global initiatives and the Holmes Chapel Site & UK Infrastructure design & direction as required.

Be involved or responsible for project work to facilitate businessIS projects. You will be able to design and implement systems in a compliant and validated fashion in accordance to GxP regulatory guides.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software Incidents/problems.

Considerable experience in administering a VMware Infrastructure including HA, DRS and ideally SRM. Good troubleshooting skills with Performance issues.

Design and develop new business solutions, in order to meet agreed user specification, identifying both internal and external resource requirements, as well as utilising appropriate technologies.

Provide project related consulting service in line with specific key goals, and ensure projects are implemented on time, within budget and to customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience of working within a complex and large Information Technology organisation

Degree qualification in a computer related science or related technical accreditations (MCSA etc)

Experience in a 2nd / 3rd line support role
