Do you have experience of business change and programme management? If so, your expertise could be vital to our Counter Terrorism (CT) efforts. As threats evolve from day-to-day, we’re constantly adapting. This involves an ongoing programme of CT change projects. The programme includes some innovative and ground-breaking initiatives. Your challenge is to deliver them - and help us protect the UK.

As Programme Manager, you’ll take on an exciting role in the National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ). Here, you’ll work across all areas of Counter Terrorism (CT) and Protective Security (PS), helping to improve our operational front line. Day-to-day, you’ll deliver a range of change projects as set out by the Head of Projects & Programmes. You’ll uphold high programme management standards and take charge of quality assurance. We’ll also look to you to develop programme-level business cases. You’ll co-ordinate approvals and ensure each one is signed off.

To join us, you must be an experienced Programme Manager who’s worked in a relevant field: (local) government, policing or in a security agency. You’ll also have recognised qualifications. You’ll be an MSP Advanced Practitioner/ Practitioner (or industry equivalent). This background means you’re up-to-speed on methodology and approaches (e.g. PRINCE 2). You’ll also be adept at understanding strategic links and developing business cases. Organised, articulate and a good negotiator, you’ll be ready to work with stakeholders and brief senior management.

Please note this role is subject to security clearance. The vetting process can take up to six months.
