Consultant Engineer - Mechanical/Technical Lead

A successful and growing consultancy seeks an ambitious mechanically focused engineer to lead the technical aspects of challenging multidisciplinary product developments. You will be responsible for directing the work of experts from a broad range of technical and design disciplines as well as using your engineering skills to solve difficult engineering problems.

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree and a proven background in Mechanical Engineering. Other skills of interest include:

*Be enthusiastic and driven with a passion for engineering

*Have proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technical experts and scientists

*Engineering background working in a similar consultancy or industry R&D department

*Have exceptional and varied experience in product, process or system development

The Consultant Mechanical Engineer will:

*Manage work packages and review work of engineers, designers and technologists

*Work closely with project leaders to scope new projects

*Take developments from idea to manufacture

*Liaise directly with clients and present technical findings

*Expand the business by developing specialist expertise and mentoring colleagues
