Enigma People Solutions has an opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to launch their career with a major semiconductor company based in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have studied relevant under-graduate educational modules and have a desire to work in mechanical & electronic packaging design for a high volume manufacturing environment.

The Role -

* Responsibility for mechanical package design for mobile phone applications

* Material and process selection

* Detailed 2D drawings and 3D modelling

* Finite Element Analysis for stress and thermal modelling

* Co-operation with related disciplines including optical & product engineers

* Design for high volume manufacturing

* Verifying mechanical design by simulation and characterisation of parts

Key Skills & Experience -

* Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering

* CAD literacy in SolidWorks or similar

* Strong communication skills - written & oral

* Good Interpersonal and Presentation skills

* Relevant under-graduate modules

* Experience in collaborative design
