Cad technician - Utilities

9 month Fixed term contract

£17000-18000k plus pension, life assurance, flexible benefits

BURY-ST EDMONDS

37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced CAD Technician from a heating/water utility networks background, looking for an immediately available contract role with a large and growing utilities provider?

The roles offers the chance to join a company offering growth and future career possibilities, plus an exciting, positive work environment. The Majority of work is creating utility maps and networks and is produced in AutoCAD the use of Microsoft office, Word/Excel/Powerpoint is also required.

The role:

To produce detailed drawings for issue to Contractors, Developers, Auditors and internal staff using the company CAD software and hardware.

To scale or re-scale maps using reference sources & The interpretation of other utility maps to create new records.

The use of printing, copying and scanning equipment to assist in the process of creating and maintaining accurate and up to data records.

The person:

Good communications (written & verbal), numeracy and IT skills are important, as is the ability to work as part of a team

Attention to detail is essential for accurate records as is working well under pressure and to tight deadlines

Minimum CAD requirement: AutoCAD experience (within the past 3 years)

GIS knowledge is an advantage.
