DIO is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). We play a vital role in supporting Defence by leading and managing the delivery of what the Armed Forces need to live, work, train and deploy on operations. DIO’s Data, Analytics and Insight (DA&I) department are currently looking for a Statistical Analyst to join the Modelling and Analytics Team which lead on the delivery and oversight of bespoke analytical projects for customers in DIO.

The Statistical Analysts objective is to support evidence based decision making in DIO and promote statistical standards. This may include;

- Investigating DIO’s data with advanced statistical techniques to answer customer questions.

- Support the creation and dissemination of advanced analytics and statistics in DIO.

- Support the creation and development of National Statistics.

As a member of DA&I’s Modelling and Analytics Team there will be many opportunities to be involved in a wider spectrum of analytical projects.

Membership of the Governments Social Research Service (GSR), Statistical Service (GSS), Operational Research Service (GORS) or other analytical professions will be supported.
