3rd Line Analyst | Central / North London | 40k
We have a fantastic job opportunity for a motivated 3rd Line Analyst / Engineer, living near London.
If you have a BSc Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and/or MCITP/MCSA/MCSE (inc Windows 7) and / or ITIL Foundation qualified (minimum) and a CCNA then please apply TODAY.
This role can provide progression to Infrastructure or Project Management roles for suitably qualified candidates.
THE BASICS:
We are looking for an individual who can provide 3rd line desktop support, either onsite or via telephone, to a diverse user base, deal with all calls and correspondence in a highly professional manner, delivering an efficient and high quality service to all staff and customers and be responsible for supporting all desktop applications, laptops and other mobile devices, PCs, printers within a corporate network.
THE PRE-REQUISITES:
If you have experience of providing technical support up to a 3rd line level to internal customers on incidents, requests and problems and are able to adhere to all service management principles, and can perform root cause analysis : log all ICT incidents and requests, then please be in touch.
Strong administrative skills to manage assets, licences, knowledge base and produce documentation to a high standard, with experience of supporting a thin client, virtualised environment will hold you in good stead.
Other duties (but not limited to) include:
a. developing PC builds
b. maintaining and enhancing existing support documentation
c. desktop configuration
d. printer installation
e. ad-hoc project involvement
THE TECHNICAL:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based desktop operating systems, Windows 2003 / 2008 Server and Exchange Server 2003/2010
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 Suite
Windows 7 deployment and support
Configuring and installing desktop deployment packages using SCCM 2012
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory 2003 / 2008
Configuring and troubleshooting Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 6.5 environments
Knowledge of databases and application support.
THE DESIRABLE:
Knowledge of Storage (SAN) and Network concepts
Knowledge of Cisco switch configuration
Virtualisation experience (VMware ESX, Site recovery manager, VCB Backup).
MOS 2010 Qualified
PRINCE2 Foundation
