Leading multi-disciplinary IT projects for the Care Quality Commission, you’ll ensure our IT infrastructure keeps pace with our ever evolving approach to regulating health and adult social care in England. Our work is all about making sure people benefit from safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. You’ll be instrumental to enabling our success.

You will be recognised as the technical and business engagement lead within our IT Programme Management function. As a member of the Infrastructure senior management team you will ensure that IT projects in CQC support the development of the Operating Model, deliver the vision of the Infrastructure and Knowledge & Information Strategies and are subject to strong financial management. We will look to you to drive forward the professional development of IT Programme and Project Management ensuring that the team have the skills and competencies required to deliver a challenging portfolio of projects. You will represent CQC Infrastructure on a wider range of governance bodies engaging with staff at all levels. Through a combination of inspirational leadership and expertise you will oversee the delivery of a programme of innovative and agile projects that place the end user and value for money at their core.

To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need a proven track record of success managing complex, organisation-wide programmes or projects at a strategic level. You’ll bring to the role a strong working knowledge of programme and project management methodologies, such as MSP and PRINCE2. A good working knowledge of current issues in regulation is also essential. We’ll expect you to be a creative and strategic thinker who leads by example. A motivational leader of matrix teams, you’ll also be adept at forging strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
