Application support within Finance involves a number of components: infrastructure for n-tiered distributed computing (plus all the tools involved for development and debugging), integration of specific analytic models, a framework for running and storage of the said models, as well as a unified front-end for display and reporting. In short, the Finance ASG group supports the complete front to back framework in a large scale environment (20+ applications) over a heterogeneous product set.

In Finance, the candidate would play a key role in the supporting a set of financial applications. The candidate needs to ensure that the applications are running smoothly 24/7 without issues by managing their own work and ensuring that the global team have the tools and knowledge/expertise for consistent global coverage. The candidate will develop tools and design processes and documentation to continuously streamline and optimize the support process. The candidate interacts with the business users and developers and help identify potential issues / risks and represent (manage) support priorities within the business and IT development life cycle. The candidate will interact with business users to identify and resolve data/application issues and will interact with the IT developers to identify turnover risks, manage scope and partner to resolve system issues or exposures. The candidate will be responsible for producing business and technical documents for the applications supported and conduct knowledge transfer training on a regular basis to keep global team up to date on changes.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

- Team Leader aptitude (ownership, follow ups, communication, documentation, presentation, organizational skills)

- M.S in Computer Science

- Experience in C++, C#, Perl, Java, unix/linux programming, .net programming, Sybase, MSSQL, DB2.

- Strong multi-threaded or distributed computing background.

- Strong Business Analysis Skill (data mining and metrics analysis)

- Experience with Database Analysis, Design and Development (and tools)

- Ability to understand code with minimum help

- SQL/T-SQL experience including query performance tuning.

- Strong knowledge of Autosys

- Knowledge of cubes / Olap products such as Essbase, HFM

- String quantitative analysis skills and ability to process large amounts of data

- Must have good communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly to business users and developers and colleagues spread throughout the world

- Unix, Linux and Windows platform familiarity

- Basic Networking Knowledge

Skills Desired:

- Experience with Hyperion Products

- Documentation skills (visio, excel, word, power point)

- Experience of working in a fast moving/challenging/global environment

- Strong communication, problem solving and multi-tasking skills

- The ability to communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience

- Informatica (ETL) development/ support experience

- Unix, Shell scripting

- Perl scripting
