Data Development Analyst

Location: Leeds, Thorpe Park, Hybrid working.

As Data Development Analyst, you will support the wider technical and data teams within Overdales.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Optimise SQL queries and Stored Procedures to ensure processes perform optimally
  • Be responsible for creating clean, secure SQL queries and Stored Procedures following a test-driven approach
  • Create SQL code that is easy for others to understand and reuse
  • Implement data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems
  • Document source-to-target data mappings
  • Re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use
  • Support the build of data streaming systems
  • Write ETL (extract, transform, load) scripts and code to ensure the ETL process performs optimally
  • Build accessible data for analysis

What we need from you:

  • Communicating between the technical and non-technical.
  • Data analysis and synthesis
  • Ability to design, build and test data products that are complex or large scale.
  • A solid understanding of the impact on the organisation of emerging trends in data tools, analysis techniques and data usage.
  • Data integration design experience
  • Data modelling experience
  • Metadata management
  • Experience building relationships with different teams, understanding of BI and Database Administration is desirable
  • Understanding / experience of .Net coding desirable
  • moderate-to-complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications
  • SQL Server Management / Visual Studio experience to design, code, correct and
  • document moderate to complex programs, scripts and ETL processes from agreed specifications
  • Understanding of the core technical concepts related to the role and apply them with guidance.
  • Testing experience
