About this opportunity

Welcome to our Emerging Tech & Innovation team. We're creating a future where customers choose Lloyds Banking Group because we regularly launch new products and services that make their financial lives better. This is an outstanding chance to join a team that celebrates curiosity, diversity and values creation!

We're looking for a Solution Architect to be part of a new Engineering Innovation team.

This new team will be dynamic, versatile, and adaptive, with a core purpose on research, experimentation and building prototypes, which could be deployed at scale across the organisation.

So, what would you be doing for us?

This is the exciting bit! As a solution architect, you'll be mainly responsible for the solution architecture required on the technical experiments we run across the team. You'll have proven experience in solution architecture practice, crafting and maintaining technical documentation.

As a keen collaborator, you'll work across the innovation team, to ensure product and experiment requirements are translated into technical solution designs, for our team of engineers.

You'll also work across the Group's engineering and architecture communities, to ensure all our experiments maintain standards of solution architecture practice, and alignment to strategic technology direction.

We're agile, so you'll need to be able to take an iterative approach in your solution designs, breaking down work and prioritising the thinks that release value allowing the rest of the team to progress.

Finally, you'll demonstrate continuous personal development, in new & emerging technologies, and will be an active member of the Group's Solution Architecture community, to ensure we're aligned to current practice.

Who are we looking for?

Do you feel passionate about innovation, emerging technology and how they can be adopted and used for our colleagues and customers? You'll be curious and excited at the prospect of stepping into the unknown whilst getting to the bottom of how things work and defining how we can implement them safely.

You'll have a developed communication toolkit, allowing you to skillfully collaborate across the innovation team and with wider teams in LBG and beyond. Being a confident facilitator, analytical thinker and problem solver, you'll challenge conventional ways of thinking, influencing positive outcomes.

You'll be adaptable, able to learn and use new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances; you're comfortable providing recommendations and thought leadership.

Working on experiments and prototypes, you're the sort of person who sees the bigger picture and can join the dots to understand the implications of our work, if we were to deploy at scale.
