Our client, one of the world’s leaders in high-performance GPU and CPU technology, is hiring for a skilled ASIC design expert to join them as a Hardware Applications Engineer in California.

This is a superb opportunity if you are a Digital ASIC Design Engineer looking to develop your career in a more customer-facing direction, in which you will have a much wider business view. Whilst still remaining technical, as a Hardware Applications Engineer you will have a highly visible role, working closely with key customers to showcase products and provide support from the early stages of selection of IP all the way through to mass production. This is an exciting opportunity to work on brand new projects, to work with high-profile customers and really enhance your knowledge of the market and workings of different areas of the business.

As the successful Hardware Applications Engineer you will have:

• A detailed understanding of the digital IC design flow, with a number of years’ prior RTL design experience using Verilog / VHDL
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Prior customer interaction experience would be preferred, however candidates with a keen interest to develop in this area are also considered
• A background knowledge in CPU / GPU technology would be beneficial
