This is a new opportunity due to growth for a Hardware Applications Engineer to join an industry leader in designing power-efficient and high-performance GPU and CPU technology for graphics and compute. You will be a part of a team who has spent their time creating the graphics and AI chips that are at the core of your favorite electronic products, and they are expanding their IP portfolio to include RISC-V CPUs as part of their efforts to create the best compute offering in the market!

As a Hardware Applications Engineer you will be joining a world class team of Application Engineers and will take ownership of helping company customers to understand, integrate and achieve success with their products.

Your role will have high visibility within the organisation and opportunity for close engagement with key customers, providing technical support all the way through from the early stages of selection of IP through to mass production and end of life of the product. 

To be considered for this role it is imperative you have customer facing experience and are a proven good communicator with confidence. 

You'll have:

  • Experience in (Field) Application Engineering or other customer facing roles with a semiconductor or semiconductor IP company.
  • Experience with technical management of customer accounts, providing training and debug of customer issues.
  • Good organisational, technical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with GPUs is strongly desired.
  • Understanding and experience of VHDL/Verilog debug
  • Understanding of system-level considerations, including memory system architecture, bandwidth constraints, common NoC/interconnect topologies.
  • Comprehension of Physical Design flows, including Synthesis, Floorplanning, PnR, Full Chip timing.
You might also have RISC-V experience and experience of IP integration of multiple cores.
