Company client partnered with a innovative insurance organisation looking to hire a self-starter thats passionate about data, data governance and making an impact on an organisation.

This business have recently implemented new systems and are on Azure cloud. They are looking to add to, improve and innovate their data governance framework and data governance offering across the business.

This role reports directly into the head of Data, offering the opportunity to really make an impact that will be directly recognised.

They need a self-starter, with good communication, initiative and knowledge of the Lloyds insurance market.

The business require a Data Governance Analyst to support the management of all data.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for ensuring the highest quality of the data exists enterprise wide within the organisation.
* Provide first line review of the data to identify inaccuracies and inconsistencies.
* Enhance the exception monitoring capabilities to trap any data points that require review and / or correction
* Creation and maintenance of control framework to ensure data can be relied upon in decision making.
* Ensure relevant processes, policies and procedures support the ambitions of the business for its data asset.
* Ensure data record is accurate, complete and understood within the organisation across all systems group wide.
* Maintenance and dissemination of the data dictionary.
* Pro active in ensuring that all key data points are validated and accurate for use in reporting and downstream feeds.
* Fully investigate any anomalies, reporting and resolving as needed
* Ensure robust governance framework exists including reconciliations from source to target across all data and feeds.
* Report on key metrics and providing analysis of any thematic issues and concerns
* Horizon scanning for opportunities to enhance the data estate and capability of the business.
* Pro-actively take ownership for self-development and continuing professional development.

Key Competencies:

* Good communication skills and ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, building trust and credibility.
* Strong data background in Insurance sector.
* Lloyds experience ideal
* Ability to consider all downstream impacts of any data quality issues and concerns.
* Data literate individual with passion for reliability and accuracy of data
* Ability to work unsupervised for periods, but being responsibility and accountable.
* Hardworking and resilient.
* Approachable, supportive and collaborative.
* Eligible to work in UK

Able to operate in a fast paced but rewarding environment and prioritise work accordingly.

This role is not open to sponsorship.

Applicants must live and have the right to work in the UK as well as being able to commute to the City of London 2-3 days per week.
