Quantitative Economist / Trade Desk Analyst London to £65k

You could be joining a specialist Hedge Fund with £1 billion in assets, learning from a hugely talented team.

As a Quantitative Economist you will work with a well respected Front Office Trader based in Houston, Texas to manage the quality of data and perform analysis and R&D on trading strategy to forecast elements of demand and supply of US Natural Gas.

You'll research drivers of global gas prices to develop supply and demand models, create tooling to monitor market developments and effectively communicate your findings to ensure commercial success.

Location / WFH Policy:

You'll be working in a collegiate team environment based in North London with a small group of accomplished entrepreneurs with flexibility to work from home occasionally (you will be mainly office based).

Requirements:

• You have a strong record of academic achievement, likely to have studied to MSc or PhD level - Econometrics or Economics preferred; gained at an Oxbridge / Russell Group university
• You have commercial experience in similar / relevant role
• You have a keen interest in Trading and financial markets, with commercial acumen and are motivated to learn
• You have a strong knowledge of data analysis and statistical techniques
• You have programming experience with R, advanced Excel
• Python and SQL experience would be an advantage
• You have advanced critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• You're a confident communicator
