Geophysicist / Senior Geophysicist £35,000 - £60,000 + Holiday + Progression + Training + Private Health Insurance Southampton - On Site Are you an ambitious Geophysicist looking for an exciting new role within a successful company where you will be working on ground-breaking projects within a niche and specialist industry? Our client specialises in all types of high resolution seabed and near surface detection geophysics, and is dedicated to bringing state of the art ordnance detection and ultra high resolution seismic methods to offshore industries. In this role, you'll be working in a small team or independently and directly with clients on projects, where you will be participating in all areas of geophysical surveying, vessel mobilisation and a high quality of control and data processing. An ideal candidate will have experience in marine geophysics who is looking for a new company that will put you at the forefront of some exciting projects, and support you whilst you gain valuable skills and experience. Having experience in Oasis montaj, SonarWiz and is familiar with a range of subbottom, sidescan sonar and magnetometer systems. The Role: * On board quality control of geophysical data sets and lead data management & reporting * Setup and operation of geophysical survey equipment * Processing and interpretation of geophysical datasets The Person: * Experienced in using Oasis montaj, SonarWiz & a range of subbottom, sidescan sonar and magnetometer systems * Degree educated in geophysics or geotechnical applications or equivalent experience * Experience in managing project deliverables and achieving delivery deadlines
