Job Title: HVAC Project Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £75k (Experience Dependant)

Job type: Permanent, Full time.

Established in 2003, Principal HVAC are specialists in Design, Installation, Commissioning and Servicing of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Solutions.

Principal HVAC are looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join their Manchester office.

Annual salary starting from £40k and upwards, depending on experience

Standard working hours: 8hrs/day, 40hrs/wk, starting time 8:30am, Flexible working hours

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for organising project site works, obtaining & maintaining works program

Ensuring work quality is of the highest standard and quality check sheets are completed and issued to client

Better buying & ordering project equipment & materials

Resourcing, monitoring, inducting and control of project subbies

Managing the project & co-ordinating with the project team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget

Carry out monitoring and control activities in order to track the progress of the project

Identifying & resolving site clashes or procurement issues, ensure project continuity of work for subbies, attend site meetings, communicate project problems or issues back to your Lead Project Manager

Submit project payment claims to PHVAC accounts department, weekly approval on PHVAC Access system your project purchase invoices, bring project in on budget or better, while building, nurturing and promoting good business relationships with our clients

Ensure all variations to projects are quantified, recorded and approved by clients

Take part in internal project handovers and reviews, close out meetings, providing feedback to and answerable to our existing London Lead Projects Manager, and to PHVAC Senior Management

Your role will ultimately lead to ensuring that our customers get an enhanced professional, efficient Project delivery, from Principal HVAC, which leads directly to a happy client and repeat business

You may be expected to work additional hours to meet deadlines and paid overtime is unlikely

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Competent in both Air Conditioning & Ventilation

Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your project team.

The ability to monitor and control budgets

Good communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations

The ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure

Technical knowledge of air conditioning and ventilation related to the project

Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
