Solent University is a dynamic institution, specialising in innovative courses with strong industry links. The Web Developer will join an award-winning digital team that has exciting plans for the future of the Solent websites.

The role requires an energetic person who can create engaging and user-friendly websites, is happy to contribute ideas for future website developments and can translate non-technical briefs into a working solution. Utilising web technologies such as Javascript, React and Node, you will develop functionality that creates an engaging and interactive experience for our users.

We are looking for candidates that have a passion for web development. You will need a strong working knowledge of various web technologies and languages (such as ES6, React, Node) and the ability to plan your approach to work, create solutions and problem solve is vital. As a strong communicator, you will be able to build good working relationships.

As an important part of a web development team, you will gain exposure to a range of requests in an exciting environment. You will be supported to develop your skills and expertise while delivering a leading web experience for our audiences.

Qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience), you will need to have a passion for developing websites and utilising web technologies. The chosen candidate will be able to combine excellent web development knowledge with strong interpersonal skills.
