CWMNI ADNODDAU Chair and Members Remuneration: Chair - £114 per day, plus reasonable expenses - up to 5 days per monthMember - £92 per day, plus reasonable expenses - up to 3 days per month Adnodd, a Welsh Government subsidiary company limited by guarantee was incorporated in July 2022, to oversee the provision and commissioning of bilingual educational resources and supporting materials to support the learning and teaching of Curriculum for Wales and its qualifications. The provision of learning and teaching materials is a critical element in ensuring the credibility of the curriculum, and in securing the necessary commitment from practitioners to realise it. Curriculum for Wales is innovative, ambitious and challenging and therefore demands a radically different and equally ambitious approach to the development of resources and supporting materials as it is embedded over the years. We are seeking to appoint a Chair and six board members to the company. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and direction to a newly established company, tasked with ensuring provision of purposeful, high quality educational teaching and learning materials in both Welsh and English at the same time. The company will provide a strategic oversight to the provision and commissioning of educational resources. It will establish a national process of identifying requirements and commission accordingly, ensuring equity in provision and access to resources in both Welsh and English. It will develop a quality assurance framework for the commissioning of resources and supporting materials, ensuring that what is produced is fully aligned with the four purposes and principles of Curriculum for Wales and supports local, national and international contexts. A key principle of any commissioning will be to facilitate co-construction across sectors teachers and publishers, ensuring that talent is recognised, nurtured and developed. It will bring together and access a wide network of providers and experts from various areas, and will invest in skills and capacity in publishing educational resources in Wales, ensuring a fully joined up approach.
