Lead Information Security Operations Specialist

Location: Remote with occasional trips to either Southampton / Hampshire or Newcastle

c. £70k base + comprehensive package including good bonus scheme

As an established tech recruitment partner to this global financial services organisation we have been asked to assist in the hire of a Lead Information Security Operations Specialist to join a focused Information Security team at an exciting time to assist with the continual maturity of the organisation's existing security posture ensures that all employees within Security are well positioned to make a big impact.

Your role will be to provide technical leadership and specialist Information security knowledge relating to technology governance. In this role you will conduct Security Monitoring and Testing activities for: Firewall, WAF, CASB Change, Anti-Malware, Proxy Change, DLP Configuration Management SOC Data Source Management; You will escalate security incidents in response to changes in status, conduct vulnerability scanning activities on existing networks and recognise potential successful and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises, through review and analysis of relevant Security Operations Centre (SOC) reporting event details. You will also design and own the perimeter and firewall security technical standards, including Intruder Detection/Protection System requirements, enable security hardening to industry benchmarks (CIS) and provide firewall rule oversight as well as conduct firewall rule audits.

This role can be predominately home based with very occasional visits to either Southampton or Newcastle (whichever is closest to your home).

Candidates should have at least one of the following qualifications and/or similar:

*Relevant SANS GIAC: e.g., GCIH

*CISSP, CISM, A-ISAP or equivalent desirable

*CCNA (or equivalent)

*Firewall / WAF / DLP Management / Administration

*Qualys Vulnerability Management (or equivalent)

*Relevant Microsoft professional certifications

This role may suit an individual who has held the following roles: Information Security Analyst, Information Security Engineer, Information Security Consultant, IT Security Analyst, IT Security Consultant, InfoSec Analyst.
