We are a fast-growing, family owned B2B marketer and manufacturer of workplace supplies in the UK, established in 2000. With over 30 market-leading business units across several niches in first aid, medical, hygiene, health & safety, facilities management, signage and outdoor furniture, we competitively market over 20,000 products through catalogues, our own ecommerce sites and various marketplaces. We operate on a UK-wide basis from our brand new offices in sunny Poole, Dorset.

About The Role
This exciting role within our innovation team will be responsible for working with colleagues in innovation and trading to ensure new products are constantly being successfully launched across the group. This will require involvement from start to finish, from liaising with suppliers, to setting products up on the system and then effectively merchandising products on live ecommerce websites so we can begin marketing them to customers.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Support Group Innovation Manager to proactively develop successful new products and bring them to market as part of group trading activity. In particular, printed products such as signs, labels and posters
Support Trading Management on development and introduction of new products
Manage product set up elements and fulfilment processes for new products, liaising with operations, the wider product marketing team, trading managers and manufacturing contacts as appropriate
Work with supply chain and manufacturing to source prospective materials and accessories that are compatible with our products and generate additional sales growth
Work with trading team to successfully merchandise new products upon launch and ensure all new products have a considered place within the range architecture
Researching and driving new product possibilities and improvements
Work with supply chain and manufacturing contacts to source and research 3rd party manufacturing or supply options for products we are not yet able to make ourselves, with a view to bringing products to market quickly on a trial basis

What Does Success Look Like?

At least 500 new product ranges launched per year
£250k+ YOY revenue growth in genuine new product sales
Proactive adding of innovative own manufactured products that add real value within new and existing markets
Strong prioritisation of the best commercial opportunities
A continually developing range with products brought to market promptly and to a very high standard
Exceptionally fast turn-around times. Adding a straightforward product will take a matter of days from initial contact to launch.

Key Competencies & Qualities

A good understanding of structured data systems used to manage product information and stocks - a solid working knowledge of excel is important
Demonstrable experience in successfully merchandising and marketing products - including pricing, copy, presentation and range positioning
Driven and enthusiastic, you must be hungry to constantly get new products launched - new products are the lifeblood and the core of our business
A curious product focussed mind that thrives on innovating and developing new things
Be great at ‘finishing’ things without letting projects stagnate
Commercial acumen with strong ability to prioritise projects based on potential gains
A strong focus on objective figures and results
A strong work ethic and high level of output
Excellent attention to detail with pride taken in the quality of work, and results it generates
Able to work dynamically and progress things independently
Willing to get heavily invested in the company and strive to add value like it was your own
Experience with ecommerce CMS’s is highly desirable.
