We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

We are looking for someone to join our team to champion our Asset Management System, by filling the role of Product Owner. CAMS (Cambridge Asset Management System) enables business groups to request, receive, validate, store, retrieve and distribute assets. These assets contain the IP (Intellectual Property) that drives our business.

As the Product Owner you will act as the bridge between the end users/stakeholders and the development team, ensuring these internal customers' needs are translated into the technical requirements that developers need to develop the features of the system.

In collaboration with the development team and customers you will help drive continual improvement to the system and to processes.

Owning the roadmap of developments, you will organise and prioritise the backlog of tickets, resolving conflicting priorities, to ensure maximum value to the business and in line with strategic goals.

You will have existing experience of working within an agile framework, be a strong communicator and be able to translate user requirements into technical requirements for the development team to work from. Conversely you will be able to understand technical issues and be able to communicate to a non-technical audience.

As the main point of contact for CAMS, you will be able to manage expectations of stakeholders and users regarding the systems status and direction. Being a system super-user, you will organize user training, keep manuals up-to-date and develop FAQs to support the users.

Our mission is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence. Which is why every year, we give vital support to millions of people in more than 170 countries around the world. From teachers and learners to researchers and academics, we help to build confidence, unlock potential, and enable success. We give people the opportunity to show what they've learnt, we spread knowledge, spark enquiry, and aid understanding.

We achieve this by embracing change, and continuously focusing on our customers' needs. And by collaborating, and carefully listening to our customers and to each other, we keep moving forward, keep innovating, and keep finding newer and better ways of doing things.

The key to our work is our colleagues, whose shared commitment enables us to have an ever-greater impact. We are a united, vibrant, and respectful global community of people, and we ensure that every individual is recognised, listened to, and cared for. And because our impact is amplified when our people are empowered, we give everyone the opportunity to develop in their own way. Whether you want a career that's linear, or want to follow your own path, we'll support you, and help give you the resources and training you'll need to be bold and take ownership of what you do.

Alongside providing a supportive and flexible working environment we also offer competitive salaries, a world-class rewards package that will help you to live well at work, and outside of it. You'll find a wide range of benefits and policies, from family-friendly incentives, to a generous pension, to discounts on everyday shopping. Our benefits promote financial security, personal wellbeing and a reduced environmental impact. See a full list of benefits on our careers site.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 10th July 2022, however, this is a rolling campaign, and therefore we will conduct interviews as and when candidates apply. We reserve the right to close this vacancy once we have received sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested in this exciting opportunity, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
