Software Development Manager Cambridge to £85k

Software Development Manager (Agile) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a technical leader seeking an opportunity to progress your career in a friendly and supportive environment where you can make a real impact? You could be joining a hugely successful Cambridge based technology company that provides intelligent / 3D printing solutions for a range of industries.

As a Software Development Manager you will take ownership of the overall development processes and delivery of a major business stream. You'll collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure that roadmaps, vision and development backlogs are mature enough for development purposes and with the Project Management team to ensure that forecasts, plans, resources, risks, status and escalations are managed. You will have around 4-8 direct reports who are Principal Software Engineers and Scrum Masters, you'll provide line management and career development opportunities and be an advocate of Agile methodologies, helping to mature Agile processes across the business.

Following a remote interview process you'll join colleagues in the Cambridgeshire based office for 2 days a week with the other 3 work from home (parking available, not reachable via public transport).

Requirements:

You have a strong software engineering background, ideally with C / C++ but could be any tech

You have a thorough understanding of software development best practice, risk management and trade-offs

You're an advocate of Agile methodologies, with Scrum or SAFe (Scaled Agile) experience

You have advanced communication and collaboration skills, an experienced technology leader who can achieve buy-in and influence the board
