Location: Durrington, West Sussex - Flexible for hybrid working, minimum of 2 days office based.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: From £70,000 (depending on experience) plus car allowance of £400 p/m
Hours: 37 hours per week

Overview of your role:

We are looking for an ambassador to drive our business and our people, through an exciting IT transformation.

As our Portfolio Manager you will be leading 40 Project Managers across 4 diverse, high profile and exciting IT and business change portfolios. You will be playing a leading role in helping us maintain our essential services for our customers as well as contributing towards important outcomes of our transformation including meeting our regulatory requirements and improving our environmental performance.

Responsibilities will include: Management of permanent and contract Project Managers and Project Analysts in the successful delivery of medium and large projects. Ensure the team manage projects from initiation to delivery and handover in support Business and IT objectives, in collaboration with Business Owners and Business and IT stakeholders. Ensure Projects have clear objectives and scope, work breakdown structure, roles and responsibilities, project team resource requirements and assignments. Labour and costs estimates, deliverables, plans, schedule and milestones. Ensure the team communicate with project team members and stakeholders regularly, monitoring and reporting progress, monitoring deliverables including sign off, effort and costs. Manage the team to complete lessons learnt exercises, recommending and supporting change, developing a culture of continuous improvements and learning. Develop team members and the overall team capabilities.

About you: Coming from a vast background of running large IT programmes/projects as well as portfolio and PM line management experience. You will enjoy working in a fast-past environment and be passionate about leading and developing teams of Project Managers through coaching, mentoring and performance reviews. PMO and/or experience working in the utilities sector is desirable but not essential.
