Senior Software Architect

Remote (going to the office 1 x per month)

£75,000 - £85,000 + Healthcare + Life Assurance 3x salary + Pension Scheme + 25 days holiday (plus 8 days bank holiday) + Income protection/Sickness pay

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Architect to make key technical decisions delivering the product roadmap for a highly sophisticated maritime technology specialist.

This globally recognised Marine Engineering company provide specialist infrastructure and technology services and are listed on the UK stock market. They are growing exponentially and are looking to make several hires due to the expansion of the product roadmap.

In this role you will report to the lead architect, working with a range of teams to evolve and optimise their core application platform. You will consider all aspects of the system making key technical decisions on how it will be deployed, the tools used and 3rd parties involved to make the most functional and reliable products.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Large Scale Infrastructure, Big Data Analytics and Applications. You will have previous experience in a software architecture position and have a technical knowledge of high level architecture principals.

The Role:

*Responsible for the deployment of architectural decisions

*Supporting and evolving our core application platform

*Making decisions on tools used and products which align with the aspirations of the business

*Remote working - commuting to Cardiff 1 x per month for meetings

The Person:

*Knowledge of programming and in several technological stacks

*Broad technical knowledge of software architecture

*Deep understanding of Large-Scale infrastructure, systems, applications, distributed databases and big data analytics

*Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, Scientific, Computing or Engineering or similar discipline
