Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research and the best advice and support. To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever. This is a great opportunity for you to progress in your chosen technical career. You will be our go to IT technician and part of our friendly Database Team. Working as our 1st line IT support, you will be supporting us with all aspects of our IT infrastructure and capabilities, enabling our teams to access and use all of our technical tools. Whilst this is a varied, challenging and standalone role, you will have the back up of off-site 2nd line support as well as our Database Team. In addition, you will be able to learn and develop from our Database Team, with the opportunity to enhance your career with the use of SQL Automation tools and database administration activities.
