DevOps Engineer Cambridge to £70k
DevOps Engineer (AWS GCP Kubernetes Python CI/CD) *Remote*. Would you like to join a fast paced, tech company that delivers mission-critical software products to help reduce carbon emissions? As a DevOps Engineer, you will be joining the company at a crucial time as they build out an independent function to provide a managed service to the business from an Infrastructure and DevOps perspective. Together with your team you will support and enable product delivery squads to produce high-performance, scalable, and secure products and will apply your knowledge of DevOps tools and practises to support the development teams. A typical day for you might involve building out IaC, setting up, administering, and managing Kubernetes clusters, managing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud (AWS) services, and building out infrastructure automation and tooling to support developers. The team use a range of tools and technologies including Kubernetes heavily, Kops, Terraform, CDK, Istio, and Python.
This role can be fully remote on the basis that you are commutable to the Cambridge office 1 day a month. The company provide a real-time energy optimisation and data platform and strategic software solutions to enable energy companies to modernise their networks and achieve increasingly demanding sustainable energy targets.
Requirements:
You are a DevOps Engineer who has a background in System Administration and a deep understanding of modern DevOps culture
You have extensive experience setting up, administering, and managing Kubernetes clusters
You have experience with cloud platforms - AWS (desirable) or GCP
You have experience writing IaC and understand how it works (Terraform or CDK desirable)
You are proficient in Python scripting
You have a good understand of networking - knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, configuring networks at a basic level
You are a self-starter and have an ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable: Istio
