Commercial (Procurement) Specialist

Contract: 12 months

Location: Birstall (Hybrid role)

Rate: £210- £235 Inside IR35

Role Description:

The main aspect of the role is to support the factories from a procurement perspective. This involves dealing with changes in suppliers, business continuity issues, implementing projects with suppliers and finding savings opportunities.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Development and implementation of inbound pipeline strategies
• Manage stakeholder relationship with local teams (R&D, Factory Operations, Logistics)
• Ensure execution of agreed procurement material strategies on the site
• Be the a co-pilot the Sourcing Mgr, especially focusing on the Supply Risk evaluation and mitigation.
• Responsible for Local materials buying, including raw and packaging material
• Challenge existing business norms with the support of the European Strategic Sourcing Manager to exploit supplier developments & innovations.
• Drive local savings reduction by working with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Commercial representation in local and European projects
• Identification of optimization sourcing opportunities
• Owns legal agreements (contracts) with local suppliers
• Supporting Supplier Reviews and conducting pipeline reviews with key local suppliers

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• At least 3 years work experience in procurement, Supply Chain or similar environment
• Experience in working in international environment
• Robust project management and change management skills
• Fluent in English, other languages are welcomed
• Strong communication and analytical skills are essential
• Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills
