WHAT TO EXPECT

Hybrid and Electrified powertrains support Jaguar Land Rovers objective of delivering clean and efficient products to our customers. In-house development of the embedded base software provides Jaguar Land Rover with the capability to rapidly develop and deploy a platform for the application control software, maximising the benefits of these technologies through a short time to market, delivering unique industry leading features. In the Software Project Coordinator role, you will play a key part in project management, coordination and delivery of the Base Software for our next generation of Electrification components.

You will be responsible for all project management aspects of the Base Software delivery, working closely with JLR or partner software and hardware teams as well as suppliers and JLR purchasing in the planning, tracking and execution of the project.

Your experience in embedded software project management will enable you to quickly gain control of the plan, keep track of open issues, deliveries and releases, prepare status reports & metrics and enable the project through procurement of the necessary tools and supporting software. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

As a Software Project Coordinator, you will be working with the software development team, input to the software sprint planning activities to define the content of software sprints, ensuring a logical incremental delivery to mature the product to meet the functional roadmap and all requirements are met. You will support daily and weekly project meetings with the status of base software development and build activities, and lead weekly meetings with suppliers, capturing open issues and driving these to conclusions through work with the software development team and software Sprint definition. You will support ODEC partners in their delivery, via open issue tracking and resolution of engineering and logistical issues, and adhere to JLR & ASPICE defined software project management processes, working to realise efficiency improvements in the software process.

WHAT YOULL NEED

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating and delivering high quality base software as part of an embedded control system, be self-motivated, with strong personal management capabilities, and be able to work with minimal supervision, engaging a wide range of stakeholders effectively. They will have the ability to balance different technical and business parameters to deliver the right solution for the customer and business. A relevant degree (e.g. Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience preferred, as well as, Automotive domain experience being highly desirable. Experience of Battery, Power or Charging Electronics, Software & Control experience, experience of the specific vendor AUTOSAR stacks, e.g. Vector, EB, Mentor and an understanding of Jaguar & Land Rover engineering processes is beneficial to the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Software project management, coordination and delivery in a team environment
Embedded Software development experience within a real time control environment
Knowledge of AUTOSAR and/or the base software layer
Experience of working with suppliers & customers, both internal and external, in the delivery of embedded control software and sourcing of software modules
Experience working to a quality process, aligned to standards such as ASPICE, CMMi etc
Experience using Change, Version and Configuration Management Tools
Experience of Agile software development working principles
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Strong self-management skills
