Head of SRE Leeds to £150k

Head of SRE (Microservices AWS Kubernetes). Opportunity for an experienced Head of SRE to take on a highly impactful and challenging role within a hugely successful FinTech.

As a Head of SRE you will lead an established and highly experienced team of 10 engineers whilst influencing the SRE practices and strategy across the organisation. The SRE function spans across the entire company meaning you'll be able to work with multiple teams across various products and platforms to ensure their software features are reliable. You'll be joining at a vital team as you'll help the team move into a new phase; transitioning from a reactive and operational function towards a core focus on the reliability of systems and software. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a talented team where you'll be able to add real value to an organisation and have a lot of freedom and influence to shape the SRE function.

This role can be based in Leeds or London and you can work from home 2 days a week. When you're in the office you can enjoy a great team environment with spacious dining area with breakfast, snacks and drinks as well as games rooms and quiet spaces.

Requirements:

Extensive experience within a strategic management role within an SRE function

Solid Microservices based architecture knowledge

Very good understanding of Kubernetes and Docker

Experience deploying IaC in an AWS Cloud based environment via CI/CD pipelines

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strong problem solving skills
