To design, shape and prioritise the portfolio of all projects for the Business Systems Department, ensuring the portfolio delivers on the strategic aims of the organisation strategy.Client DetailsA large sale hosing association looking to transform their IT services DescriptionChallenge the teams to ensure the portfolio is both transformative and delivering at pace, on track and sustainable. Review and resolve all project resource conflicts and risks relating to the portfolio working with heads to prioritise delivery in line with strategies.Key Accountabilities 1. Build, edit and maintain the project portfolio for change and transformation, with input from the Business Systems Leadership team, wider members and stakeholders. Prioritise the portfolio based on agreed criteria and wider dependencies2. Constantly track projects and their progress across the Business Systems and IT departments to resolve conflicts of resources and budget and prioritising projects that have potential to generate value in line with strategy requirements3. Produce and present with clarity high quality reporting to Programme Board or equivalent on Business Systems projects updating senior management on progress and risks4. Manage and guide a team of delivery Project Managers to ensure responsive and efficient delivery of tasks as required by Product Owners and transformation strategy and prioritise the delivery schedule5. Manage risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple customers, teams, departments and organisations to manage, resolve and report6. Provide structure and challenge to your team and the leadership team to ensure the portfolio is challenging and achievable7. Align projects with the company's business objectives and ensure projects are in line with the Transform 21 strategy8. Ensure benefits are tracked and realised for all projects in the portfolio Date September 2021 Final9. Support the Product Manager to prioritise the backlog for product enhancements working closely with the Development Manager to ensure resources are available for changesProfileKnowledge and ExperienceAbility to negotiate confidently and effectively, with strong influencing skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills able to present ideas in user friendly language to all levels of the organisation with a demonstrated ability to network and build strong relationships at all levels of the businessExperience of working with senior stakeholders.Track record of developing and supporting team members to deliver to deadlines Experience of understanding complex business processes and systemsProven knowledge of project, programme and portfolio managementExperience of resource planning and multi project management using Agile and lean methodologiesExperience of digital transformation projectscreating and refining reporting materialsJob OfferA salary of £60,000 plus remote working and Company benefits
