Business Analyst Salary- £60,000Location- Cirencester We are looking for a BA to act as a bridge between customer business users and the software development team, in support of digital transformation. You will be analysing existing or new business processes in order to gather and document technical requirements. Along with supporting the deployment of digital policy administration and other systems whilst acting as a member of the sprint team taking on such tasks to support as required such as testing and demo support.The company is a leading global provider of reinsurance, primary insurance and insurance-related risk solutions. Role Responsibilities:Analyse problems arising from ineffective or inefficient legacy processes, conduct analysis and propose solutions that will deliver measurable commercial benefits, including supporting the preparation of business cases.Liaise with other team members to discuss how systems function should and could work, understanding how any given requirement will interact with other aspects of the system.Take responsibility for the gathering, documentation and management of both project-relevant requirements and business-as-usual change requests.Document detailed business requirements and specifications, and ensure these are agreed at all levels throughout the business. This is likely to include the following: 'As is' and 'to be' process modellingUser stories including acceptance criteriaUser interface mock-ups / specificationGap analysis and edge case analysisNon-functional requirements Support the IT system implementation by taking on the requirements lead role in agile system implementation projects Person Specification:Has a strong understanding of the technical/underwriting aspects of insurance products.Has a strong understanding of all operational processes that support sales, underwriting and claims.Has interest in and good general knowledge of information technologies, and their application within the insurance industry.Strong analytical, facilitation and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal4-5 years insurance experience or BA experienceExperience documenting requirements and specifications (Preferred) Next Steps:If you believe that you are a good fit for this role, please do not hesitate to submit your CV with a cover letter if possible.
