As our Data Engineer, you'll involved in the end-to-end delivery of our data products. But that's not all. What you'll do
In this role, you'll be a key member of the team developing and creating data products. From business analysis and solution design to product development and testing, you'll support our relentless customer focus, and help deliver our unique British Airways Service. With your adaptable mindset and our modern agile processes, no two days will be the same.
Your responsibilities will include:
Investigating business problems, and constructively connecting with stakeholders
Considering multiple approaches, techniques and tools to design flexible, quality solutions
New coding, as well as supporting existing code, and managing data infrastructure
Ensuring quality assurance and data security
Producing documentation to support new business need
Who we're looking for
You've experience in design or producing data and BI solutions and want to grow your knowledge across the entire data assets lifecycle. As a natural communicator, you'll be able to influence and lead team projects while being delivery and value focused. You're also curious about and responsive to the ever-changing worlds of business and technology.
In addition, you'll bring:
A numerate Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences or equivalent degree (desirable)
SQL development expertise
Expertise using Big Data technologies (Preferred)
Experience in cloud-based infrastructure, PaaS services, EDW design principles, and Windows, Linux server, and container usage (Desirable)
Flexibility in the face of change
