The role

When business change occurs, we need to know that our strategy is being carried out in the best, most advantageous way. As IT Portfolio Demand & Resource Planner, you'll do just that as you plan and manage delivery across a portfolio of investment programmes and projects that will bring real, measurable improvement to enterprise IT and to our organisation. Whereas the Change Manager decides the ‘what' of business change, you'll determine the ‘how' by providing top-line project portfolio management. Collaborating with senior business stakeholders and IT, you'll prioritise projects and allocate resources where they will best meet the demands of the marketplace so that we're always at optimum effectiveness.

As smart businesses have realised, the future isn't something up ahead - it's occurring right now. As IT Portfolio Demand & Resource Planner your costings, risk assessment and reporting will build a picture of what the future looks like and determine how we respond to it. As we move forward, you'll monitor and review all projects and governance to make sure we're making best use of the resources available and always delivering the unique experiences our customers value. With your insight bringing improvement to projects and processes across enterprise IT, you won't just be preparing Clarks for the future - you'll be preparing the future for Clarks.

A bit about you

You might have worked as a PMO before, or maybe your background is in a Project Manager or Business Analyst role. What's most important is that you're someone who can bring a positive attitude to collaboration with different areas of the business and especially with IT. You're someone with an analytical eye for detail who can anticipate problems and who can always keep in mind the bigger picture of Clarks business objectives. Our Agile approach to business means that being in touch with what our customers want always comes first - you'll be someone who understands how that shapes our culture, stakeholder relationships and even how we work with external suppliers. Crucially, it's about being someone who makes thing happen.

So much of what you'll do here depends on your credibility as a decision-maker. And being that person who can be depended on for reliable information, expert analysis and the most accurate reporting. All underpinned by your ability to organise and take a measured strategic approach to project management with Waterfall or Agile methodology. You may have a PRINCE 2 (or equivalent) qualification under your belt but that isn't a must, but you'll always be actively engaged with the latest trends in your industry. You've put the time in to develop your career, just as you have with previous project governance roles -  joining Clarks as IT Portfolio & Resource Planner is a chance to deliver your biggest and best project yet.

About Clarks

Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that's remained at the heart of what the brand does now.

In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature - a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.

Clarks is a global business operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 10,000 employees across the world.

The benefits

We've already told you about the degree of flexibility you'll enjoy as a valued addition to our business - but that's just the start. As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you'll also enjoy a variety of other benefits. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you'll also get a very healthy discount on our products.

We love hearing from great people

Clarks International believes that the principle of equality of opportunity is fundamental to the company's operations. Our long held aim is to provide just and fair treatment for all employees.
