Java Developer Remote UK to £85k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer * Work from Home / Remote*. Do you have expertise with backend Java development?

You could be joining a scale-up technology company that produce a suite of innovative cloud based Contact Centre software solutions for a range of big name clients.

As a Java Developer you'll work fairly autonomously as part of a remote team to design and develop key features for the communications platform that integrates a variety of services including phone, email, web, collaboration platforms, meting, messaging, video. Your work will be varied and challenging with Greenfield cloud migration projects and new feature creation; it won't all be shiny new projects though, you'll also be helping to maintain and improve on legacy code bringing existing services up to date. You'll be working with a modern tech stack encompassing Java 8 and Java 11, microservices and Spring Cloud; picking up new things along the way and collaborating in architecture and design decisions.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work remotely / from home full-time within the UK (or you can hot desk in the East London office for part of the week if preferred).

Requirements:

You're an experienced software developer / engineer with strong Java serverside skills

You have a good knowledge of Spring and ideally SpringBoot / microservices

You're familiar with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Cloud

You have experience across the full development lifecycle; CI/CD and Agile Scrum teams

You're collaborative with excellent communication skills, used to working remotely and able to take ownership
