C++ Software Consultant FAECambridge
£50,000 - £65,000 per annum
A pioneer in high speed connected communication software is looking for a Software consultant to join the Sales Engineering team in Cambridge (although WFH for now).
Will appeal to a Software engineer that enjoys some customer work. Will also consider applications from Senior Software Engineers looking to gain more technical consulting experience. Even split between coding and customer work.
Youll be ideally degree educated and very comfortable working within a software team (C C++ Java) and cross-platform work. Windows, Linux and any Android, iOS would be desirable (but not essential). C++ is the primary language.
An ideal person will have a diversity of technical skills, as youll be actively involved in research and development. Youll be generating new ideas that (hopefully) will become enhancements and new products for customers.
This R&D part of the job is a massive plus, as you will be getting first access to all the latest tech on the market before general release. Analysing and figuring out how it can impact and improve your solution.
The role will see you working closely with customers to understand needs, gather requirements, run demos, translate into requirements for the engineering team.
Essential: Software coder C C++ Java, customer work.
Desired: iOS, Android, Linux.

Office in Cambridge, some Work From Home is fine (2/3 days a week), very minimal customer travel (if any!).
