DescriptionSenior Security and Network Engineer - Banking This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Security and Network Engineer to join a small but highly proficient and customer focused team based in Basingstoke, providing support to employees across multiple sites in the UK. The company's IT service is delivered through a hybrid (multi-cloud) infrastructure, you will have several years' experience in a similar role driving improvements and providing efficient support to a multi-site environment.With the organisation's security and network functions predominantly being performed by 3rd parties, they are building their internal capabilities to bring this in house. The role will be fundamental to this and will provide an exciting opportunity to own and shape the environment, driving value and improvement. The role will be diverse, managing the organisation's infrastructure covering technical leadership, proactive administration and playing a pivotal role in the delivery of new projects.ProfileSenior Security and Network Engineer - Banking The successful individual for this role should be able to demonstrate experience in all or most of the following areas: Deep understanding of Palo Alto and Sophos XG firewallsExpert knowledge of Cisco Meraki infrastructureStrong knowledge in Azure networking (Express Routes/ Load Balancers / NSGs / VPN)Good knowledge of Sophos Antivirus and Windows Defender (Crowd Strike / Carbon Black would be advantageous)Good knowledge of operating systems - Windows client and Server, and LinuxGood understanding of core network services - DNS, DHCP, WINS, W32TimeComfortable with advanced PowerShell scriptingKnowledge & experience of SIEM solutions such as Azure Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise SecurityKnowledge of monitoring tools - SolarWinds Orion NPM, SolarWinds Pingdom, DynaTrace, AppDynamicsJob OfferSenior Security and Network Engineer - Banking BasingstokeFinancial ServicesOffering a competitive salary at market rate depending on experience of the individual.
