Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Are you a Lead Infrastructure, who is eager to learn and can take ownership of this position?

Fast growing MSP, acting as a technology partner to several million clients within the Utilities and Energy industry, is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer.

Joining a team, who are responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware, software, and related infrastructure. You will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), enabling secure and reliable delivery of software solutions.

This role will provide support through the lifecycle of projects including the definition of needs, benefits, technical strategy; R and D; technical analysis/design; support operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.

Skills / Environment: 3rd line support, project managing, VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, Exchange, 0365, IIS, SCCM, VMM, PowerShell, Azure, ITIL, any certifications such as a MCSE, MCP, VMware, CompTIA A+, AWS/Azure would be highly desirable. Knowledge of high uptime, 24x7 environments would be particularly beneficial.

As the successful Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you demonstrate leadership qualities and successfully mentor other team members, providing technical assistance, guidance, and feedback. You will plan, execute, and deliver complex IT infrastructure projects, whilst acting as an escalation point both within the team and for internal/external customers.

Working hours are Monday to Saturday between 07:30 and 21:30, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. There is additional on call out of hours support on rotation.
