Job Title: CAD Designer / DraughtspersonLocation: MidlandsSalary: £28,000 to £38,000 per annum plus overtime, dependant on experience Job Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 40 Hours per WeekThe company is currently looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join the teamAbout the role:Managing the design function for the business covering both large and small projectsIndependently produce CAD design packages of architectural metalwork.Preparation of high quality, technically accurate GA's to meet set design requirementsPrepare complete Fabrication Drawing Packages, both in house and subcontract productionSelf-discipline and good time management skills are essential as at any one time you could be working on a number of different projectsAbout you:Knowledge:Advanced Steel skills advantageous and preferred, Tekla experience or other 2D & 3D CAD modelling systems consideredMust be able to produce CAD drawings independentlyWorking knowledge of and up-to-date with regulations on stairs and balustradeAble to work on own initiative to a high standard as well as effectively in a teamHigh competency in Microsoft OfficeExperience:Significant experience is required in secondary steelwork; structural, architectural, staircases, balustrade, glasswork & general welded fabricationsProven Construction / Steel Fabrication backgroundQualification & Education:Essential - Good general education, time served Draughtsperson or Degree level education in relevant subjectA full driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points Personality:Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines and programmesYou will be a great communicator at all levels, both verbally and via email, always coming across as proactive and committed, with a professional, friendly manner and an ability to portray your expertise in the roleAble to remain calm and demonstrate an imaginative approach to problem solving with ability to pick things up quicklyMust have an exceptional attention to detail and a great eye for good designSite surveying experience advantageousReferences, as well as a portfolio of previous work, are required and evidence of a strong portfolio of previous work will be a definite requirementNO AGENCIES PLEASE!Please click the APPLY button to send your CV for this roleCandidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; CAD Technician, CAD, Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Design Technician, 2D CAD, CAD Operator, CAD Designer, CAD Design, Draughtsperson, Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Engineering Graduate, Graduate Engineer may also be considered for this role.
