Substation Project Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 + Car or Car Allowances and Benefits

Reading and multiple sites based

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading Power Distribution company who are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to manage High Voltage connections projects, ensuring cost effective, technically compliant solutions are approved & constructed. You'll be involved from cradle to grave including handover of completed projects and documentation. You will also be responsible for overall project execution & management of delivery teams for defined projects.

In this role you will be responsible for the Project Management of substation commissioning and maintenance in the South of England across multiple sites. You'll work alongside the project team reporting to the SAP and Directors, delivering engineering schemes, conduct safety audits and assist in preparation of risk assessments, method statements and investigations whilst managing onsite engineering and technical staff in line with compliance and legislation. into accidents and near misses

The ideal candidate will have several years' experience working in a similar Senior Engineer, Project Manager, SAP role and experience in power generation sector is especially advantageous, not essential.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Project Manager looking for their next immediately available year fixed term contract for a market leading HV Substation company that has the potential to go permanent for the right person.

The Role:

* Commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of apparatus within an electricity substation

* Liaising from the team at sites to the directors of the company

* Delivering projects from cradle to grave

* Provide leadership to the Project Team, controlling activities against budget

The Person:

* Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering or relevant field

*DNO/NPG authorised

* IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other safety related qualification

* Voltage levels required upto 132KV

* Business Development experienced
